A game that makes the dentist chair less scary
Leveraging the immersive power ofAugmented Reality gaming was proven to work well in distracting patients duringpainful medical procedures.
We developed a gaming system fordental patients, ages 6-12, that now works towards decreasing the need for(general) anaesthesia during procedures.
We designed, engineered andproduced a set of functional prototypes that react to the patient’s breathingand squeezing, as well as act as a game controller that children are familiarwith.
Co-developed with researchers from UZLeuven and Aardman, the animation studio behind Chicken Run.
